An Australian Muslim in Syria has denied funding terrorism after his bank accounts were closed when he became a vocal supporter of militant group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Sydney man Mohamed Zuhbi's bank accounts were closed 10 days ago, and he believes the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation was behind the decision.
Mr Zuhbi describes himself as an aid worker who helps orphans and widows, and says he has received more than $40,000 in donations.
He has used social media to voice his support for ISIS, but says he does not represent the group and is just working to "clear the misconceptions against them".
