A Perth judge has expressed his rage following the abandonment of the third trial of an elderly man, accused of killing a woman more than 20 years ago.
Ronald Pennington, 85, was standing trial in the Supreme Court accused of killing 42-year-old Cariad Anderson-Slater in 1992.
Pennington was charged in 2011 after Mrs Anderson-Slater's remains were found on a property in Woodlands where he used to live.
He first stood trial in 2012, was convicted but that was overturned on appeal, and then faced two more trials.
